Well, hey there. Hey there, you amazing human. Welcome back to another awesome podcast episode with me, your host, Ang from Angela Henderson Consulting. And today’s podcast episode is going to be one of those truth bombs. No fluff, bullshit, lovingly direct conversations that I know you might just need to hear. Because if you’re here, there is a good chance you’re doing everything. You’re showing up on socials, you’re working with clients, you’re launching, you’re tweaking your offers, you’re reading the books, listen to the podcast and doing hashtag all those fucking things. But. And that’s where the capital B, capital U, capital T dot, dot comes into play. But you’re still not scaling the way you thought you would be by now for all of the work and effort that you have put in and continue to put in. And I want to just first say this.
02:11
It’s not because you’re lazy or not smart enough or not cut out for this. It’s simply because scaling requires different moves than when you started out in business. Scaling asks you to shift from hustler to CEO, from doer of all the things to leader of strategy, team and systems. And so today, I thought it would be a great podcast episode to share with you the seven brutal truths about why you’re not scaling yet, even though you’re doing all of the things this Might sting a little bit. But I say these brutal truths with love. Because when you face these head on, everything can change. So let’s dive in. Brutal truth number one, you’re still operating like a solo hustler and not a CEO. Scaling, my friend, requires leadership. Not just work leadership.
03:06
If you’re still stuck in delivery, content creation, admin, customer service and sales, there’s no space left to scale and no space left to lead. A CEO doesn’t do everything. A CEO builds systems, hires teams, delegates tasks and makes decisions. Decisions based on data and vision, not emotion. So I want you to ask yourself, are you driving the strategy or buried in the day to day doing? If it’s the latter, that’s your starting point. Brutal truth number two, you don’t have a clear scalable offer. Not all offers are designed to scale. I want to start with that. In fact, if your income is directly tied to how many hours you work, you have, hit a cap. Scaling needs offers that are leverageable group programs, digital products, licensing, high ticket services with a team to support delivery. And I can go on and on.
04:02
You can scale a custom one to one model, but not in my experience and not what I’ve seen with people I’ve worked with and not with my peers forever. And you shouldn’t have to. So I want you to ask yourself, can your current offers be delivered without you doing all of the work 24 hours a day, seven days a week? And if not, you probably want to start rethinking things. Brutal truth number three, your marketing isn’t consistent or repeatable when it comes to scaling. Scaling is going to require a marketing system, not a marketing mood. You can’t rely on random Instagram post or last minute launches anymore. You need consistent visibility, lead generation on autopilot, content that nurtures, and a clear customer journey that brings people from hold to converted. Now I will have a little asterisk here.
04:55
This can also depend on what your human design is. And if you don’t know about human design, I strongly encourage you to go and find out what yours is. I’m a projector, for example, so I do create posts at Hock and Random. However, I still have consistency and lead generation on Autopilot, so I always just like to say where the caveats need to be. So I want you to ask yourself, is your marketing system working for you or are you constantly chasing leads? Brutal truth number four, your sales process isn’t optimized if you are relying solely on those DMS and discovery calls that you personally Manage. You’ve created a bottleneck. Scaling needs automation, delegation, and systems that could be automated funnels. A trained sales team member, an application process that qualifies leads, clear conversion metrics that you can actually track.
05:45
So I want you to ask yourself, do I have a scalable, measurable and repeatable sales system? Brutal truth number five, you’re afraid to let go of control. This one might sting a little bit. This one might hit hard. So many women that I’ve worked with say they want help, but deep down they’re scared to hand things over. Maybe you don’t think that anyone can do it as well as you, and maybe it feels faster to just do it yourself. Maybe letting go feels vulnerable. But here’s the truth. You can’t scale and control everything. You have to learn to let go of tasks of perfectionism or needing to have your hands in every little thing. So I want you to ask yourself, what would change if I trusted myself to trust others? Brutal truth number six, you’re not tracking the right metrics.
06:34
If you’re not looking at your numbers regularly, you’re guessing and not growing. You need to know your profit margins, your cost per lead, your client retention, your conversion rates, your class cash flow. Runway scaling is about smart decisions. And smart decisions are rooted in data, not just vibes. So I want you to ask yourself, if I looked at my business like an investor, would I be impressed? And brutal truth number seven. One that I talk about all the time, but yet so often gets ignored, which is you’re out of alignment again. This is the one that no one talks about. But it’s one of the biggest reasons why people don’t scale. If your business model, clients, team or messaging don’t feel aligned with you and who you are or where you’re going, you’re unconsciously self sabotaging your own growth.
07:23
You’ll procrastinate burnout, avoid visibility, stay small, et cetera, et cetera. Scaling is not just about more, it’s about more of the right things. So I want you to ask yourself, am I building a business that actually feels good or just one that looks good online? Ooh, that might stung a little bit. So there you have it. Seven brutal truths about why you’re not scaling. One, you’re still operating like a solo hustler. Two, your offer isn’t scalable. Three, your marketing isn’t repeatable. Four, your sales system is a bottleneck. Five, you’re afraid to let go. Six, you’re not tracking the right metrics. And seven, you’re out of alignment. I’ve said it before on this podcast and I’ll continue to say it. Scaling is about doing more. It’s about doing better. It’s about shifting your role, refining your model, building the right systems, entrusting the right people.
08:13
And above all, it’s about building a business that gives you more life, not less. If you’re ready to scale for real this time, and you’re not just going to keep saying you are and jumping ship, you probably want some guidance from someone who’s helped thousands of women create high impact, high profitable businesses that doesn’t require burnout to grow.
